Thivya : Words Don't Mean A Thing

Words Don't Mean A Thing
(non-edited version)

To : Mummy & Papa.

I didn't mean it,
Those things I might have said or did.
I never meant it,
I swear I never did.

I said I'm sorry,
Though it meant nothing to them.
I'm really sorry,
I swear I really am.

But "words don't mean a thing", they said,
Until real actions are whole-heatedly made.
"I'm trying really hard," I said,
And its ringing in my head.

So I gave up trying to apologize,
As they said, my words don't mean a thing.
And they looked me directly in the eyes and said,
"Action is the thing".

And since that very day, that certain day,
I stared to wonder then I realized.
What am I doing, night and day,
I don't want to ruin their lives.

To cover up all my wrong-doings and lies,
How I use to argue and pretend.
But I've changed for the better in life,
And I'll keep my promise to them until the very end.

  1. Words, my dear,
is the art of the mind.
    Silence, my dear,
is the art of the heart.
    Action, my dear,
is the art of the soul.

    Master all three,
    and you master life.
